Spooky Science Halloween Camp
Children aged 5 to 11 spend five mornings doing hands-on science, in English and French.
Junior Einsteins Science Club holds a Halloween science camp for children aged 5 to 11 at Laborartorium in Livange, during the Toussaint holidays.
The camp runs from Monday 2 to Friday 6 November, from 9am to 1pm each morning. Each morning is built around one field of science. Children work with polymers and non-Newtonian fluids on Monday, human anatomy on Tuesday, phosphorescence and luminescence on Wednesday, flight and simple electrical circuits on Thursday, and forensics and palaeontology on Friday. The work is hands on throughout, and each child takes home something they have made.
.
Every experiment is explained in English and in French. The instructor works in French with the French speaking children within the same group, so a child follows the science in whichever language is easier for them.
.
Children are grouped by age, with Atoms for ages 5 to 8 and Molecules for ages 9 to 11. Lab coats, goggles, snacks and all materials are provided. Parents bring a packed lunch, and do not need to stay.
The full week costs 350 euros. Single mornings can be booked separately at 80 euros a morning.
