Found & Bound — The unique junk journal workshop experience

What if the scraps in your drawer, the shopping bags you kept “just in case,” the old notes and doodles you never threw away — what if all of that could become something beautiful?

Found & Bound is a hands-on bookbinding and mixed media workshop where you’ll turn discarded, forgotten, and personal materials into a one-of-a-kind handmade journal. No experience needed. No perfect taste required. Just curiosity, a willingness to play, and maybe a bag full of beautiful junk.

Over the course of the workshop, you’ll learn a basic bookbinding technique and some collage methods, create your own journal from cover to cover, and leave with something genuinely yours — because no two journals will ever look the same.

This is also a space to quiet the inner critic. To make things without worrying whether they’re “good enough.” To sit alongside other people, get your hands a little messy, and remember that creating is something everyone can do.

All bookbinding tools are provided. Some materials are included, but you’re warmly encouraged to bring your own scraps, papers, packaging, old drawings, or anything that feels worth keeping. The more personal your materials, the more personal your journal.

Come as you are. Leave with something made by your own hands.

Info

After graduating from graphic arts school, Nina Bezirgani worked in various advertising agencies and is an art director. Since 2019, it has been offering creative workshops for (young) adults under the name NinkkaStudio. Nina about herself and her work: I would describe myself as a mixed media artist. I like to experiment with different techniques, without any goal, and see what comes out. This curious, non-goal-oriented work I would like to bring to people, because our lives are already goal-oriented and structured enough :-)
