Eritrean Coffee Ceremony Workshop
A moment of togetherness, cultural discovery and hospitality
Did you know that coffee originated in East Africa? Join us for a moment of togetherness and cultural discovery. Refugee women from Eritrea living at the temporary accommodation centre for applicants for international protection in Redange, together with the Service Vivre Ensemble of the Syndicat Intercommunal Kanton Réiden, invite you to an authentic Eritrean coffee ceremony..
During this workshop, you will discover the different stages of this age-old tradition, from roasting the coffee beans to tasting the freshly brewed coffee.
.
In Eritrea, coffee is much more than a drink: it is a symbol of hospitality, connection and social bonds.
This event is an opportunity to celebrate the cultural richness that the women living at the centre bring to our community, encourage intercultural exchange and build bridges towards greater inclusion.
Come and share a relaxed moment with us, discover unique knowledge and skills, and enjoy a friendly exchange over a cup of coffee prepared according to Eritrean tradition.
