BarkaBach
Visual concert for families and children from 4 years old
Three musician friends, a French Italian harpist, an Italian violinist and a percussionist from Burkina Faso embark together on a musical adventure full of discoveries, playfulness, and mischief. Along the way, they discover an island brimming with sonic treasures: instruments from here and elsewhere, familiar and strange, inviting them to play, invent, and share.
But playing together isn’t always easy!
Sometimes one gets carried away, another loses their way… until a mysterious magic bell freezes time – without necessarily putting things back in order.
Fortunately, the audience comes to the rescue to restore a little harmony to their adventures. BarkaBach is a joyful, rhythmic and participatory play that celebrates friendship, dialogue between cultures and the pleasure of making music together.
Between laughter, dance and improvisation, African rhythms meet Bach, Debussy and Mandinka melodies, weaving a mixed and poetic soundscape.
