Centre Wirtspesch
The Centre Wirtspesch is a landmark building in the heart of Kopstal. Built in 1974, it has played an important role in community life for several decades. Over the years, the building has served various purposes, including educational and cultural activities, welcoming generations of residents and becoming an important part of the local heritage.
In 2021, the Centre Wirtspesch was severely affected by flooding, an event that remains vividly remembered by many members of the community.
From 14 to 16 May 2026, the building received a new visual identity as part of the “Refresh Wirtspesch” project. Twenty-five national and international artists transformed approximately 900 m² of façades and exterior walls into a remarkable open-air art gallery. The colourful artworks bring new life to the historic building and represent creativity, culture and renewal.
Although the event has now concluded, the artworks remain in place. The municipality therefore invites visitors to discover the Centre Wirtspesch and experience this unique outdoor art exhibition.
