The credo belongs to Deep Dive Culture, and their alternative rock takes it at its word: from Meaningless, an elegy for a love that was never returned, to BiiNARY Discussions, the Luxembourg five-piece explores the murky depths – heartbreak, loneliness, excess – and keeps coming back up for air. Kevin Heinen’s voice climbs from broken low notes to unexpected highs, carried by nervous guitars in the wake of Nothing But Thieves, Foo Fighters and Muse. For this evening, the band unplugs – acoustic guitars, keys, backing vocals. What remains are the songs laid bare, and the light at the end of every chorus.
