Le sacre de Lila
Compagnie Destins Croisés
The most personal piece in his repertoire, Le sacre de Lila offers a vibrant tribute to choreographer Ismaël Mouaraki’s Moroccan roots.

The Lila ceremonies — lila meaning “night” in Arabic — are nocturnal rituals practiced in some countries of the Maghreb region, combining chants, dance, and music as part of a spiritual healing process. Mouaraki brings these mystical rites to the stage, infusing them with his distinctive contemporary urban dance style to reveal the sensitivity and sensuality of the male body. His seven performers transform the show, richly imbued with the tastes and hues of Morocco, into a heartfelt celebration where the exaltation of bodies radiates with contagious energy.
