Maestrissimo

Where? 4, Um Kinneksbond, L-8210 Mamer Theatre, Film & Shows, Music Festivals

Yllana

A whirlwind of music and flair, revisiting the masterpieces of the classical repertoire with a dash of humour, a pinch of absurdity, and a jolt of electricity running through the strings.

.

Following The Opera Locos. and TRASH!, Yllana returns with the outrageous tale of a string quartet navigating the rigid, hierarchical world of 17th- and 18th-century music. Among them is a second-rank virtuoso, as obscure as he is talented, dreaming of rising through the ranks to become maestrissimo. But will his brilliance be enough to earn him a place in this elitist milieu, governed by rules down to the last millimetre? Suspense! But one thing’s for sure: Maestrissimo conjures a joyful frenzy, orchestrating instrumental acrobatics and outlandish comedy that will have lovers of the art and curious newcomers of all ages humming all the way home!
