Description
On 9 and 10 August 2025, the Castle Tour invites you to a varied cycle journey through Luxembourg, ideal for those who like to combine culture and nature. The starting point is Mersch. From there, the route leads through quiet valleys, shady forests and open hills, past impressive historical monuments. You will come across the castles of Mersch, Useldange, Hollenfels, Colmar-Berg, Pettingen and Ansembourg. The route also follows the Attert, Eisch and Alzette rivers, offering ever-changing views of Luxembourg's diverse landscapes.

Please follow the Vëlosummer signage.
The tour starts at the Lohr car park in Mersch. From there, the route takes you through the park and along the CR105, which is closed to motorised traffic, towards Hollenfels. If you wish, you can make a detour to the castle of Ansembourg. The route continues along traffic-free roads through Brouch and Buschdorf to Useldange. From here, follow the cycle path PC 12 via Boevange and Bissen to Colmar-Berg. There you join the cycle path PC 15, which takes you back to Mersch via Cruchten.

Even if you are on traffic-calmed roads, please follow the Highway Code and remember that residents and farmers may cross your path.

CR105 Ansembourg-Mariendall-Reckange 7,5 km
Equipment
Make sure your bike is safe to ride. Always carry a spare inner tube, tyre levers and a pump. A helmet and good lighting are also important. Don't forget to take a water bottle and a basic tool kit for minor repairs.
