Description
More than 450 kilometers of varied driving routes, nature reserves, regions full of diversity and contrasts, a rich cultural offering, plenty of history, and a paradise for culinary fans – let yourself be enchanted by the "Grand Tour du Luxembourg" and discover the country in the heart of Europe.
Discover the diversity of a nation in the heart of Europe: The Grand Tour du Luxembourg takes you through the entire Grand Duchy at your own pace.
Along the way, you visit several highlights of the country: sleepy small villages, thriving cities, valleys with castles and fortresses, historic parts of the country, or the blooming vineyards of the Moselle are just waiting to be explored.
You pass through the north of the country, once devastated by the Ardennes Offensive of World War II, on the 463-kilometer route, as well as the southern region previously marked by heavy industry.
The Grand Tour du Luxembourg impressively shows how well a country can recover from these changes.
In the Müllerthal and along the Moselle, you’ll discover fresh nature and wind through serpentines along rugged gorges, and in the Guttland, you travel through relaxed villages that let you escape the hustle and stress of everyday life.

Follow the instructions in the GPX file. The route is signposted in approach to the intersections but is not signposted at the intersections themselves. Signage indicates the direction when the route changes. If you can continue on the road, there is no sign. The route is only passable in one direction (counterclockwise).
The signage consists of a 30x30cm sign with a white background and a dark green arrow indicating the direction. Below the arrow is always the Grand Tour du Luxembourg logo.
Please note: Only the national route is signposted; the regional loops have no separate signage.
In the north of the country, the route detours for a few kilometers across the border to Ouren and Peterskirchen; there is no signage here, please turn left back toward the Luxembourg border at the first opportunity.
For your safety
Always observe the applicable rules of the road traffic regulations. Detours due to closures are signposted accordingly, but there is no specific detour signage for the "GT du Luxembourg".
Attention: The GPX file and the routing always take precedence over local signage. Since long-term construction sites and major detours are not specifically signposted for the "GT du Luxembourg", following the digital route is always necessary.
Equipment
A navigation device (phone or dedicated device) is necessary to follow the route; the existing signage is only an aid and is not signposted at regular intervals along the entire length. The signage only indicates when the travel direction or the road layout changes.
