Näerdener Gare - Old Railway Station Museum

For more than 70 years, the railway line called "Prince Henri" or "Attert" served the Noerdange station by connecting Pétange to Ettelbruck. It facilitated the transportation of people and goods to the mining regions. The last train of this line circulated in 1969. Purchased in 1978 by the municipality of Beckerich, this former station was subject to an eco-renovation with the ClimEEC professional network that used new and traditional construction and insulation techniques such as the use of clay for example.

Today, the renovated building houses on the first floor a low-energy housing and on the ground floor, the first museum of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg dedicated to the regional rail networks.

The showcase is open every day from 8am-8pm. The museum is open on request with a guided tour.
